The European Litter Prevention Association

Join us

The Clean Europe Network is always looking to expand. Join us to participate in the StopLitterNow! Summit and other common initiatives; to share information, experience, expertise and learn; to participate in developing common ways to promote Europe-wide excellence in litter prevention; and, to join the effort to promote more and better litter prevention to EU policy-makers and other international organisations.

Applying

If you would like to become a member, please complete the following steps:

  1. Fill in and sign the Membership Application Form to provide us information about your organisation so that we may understand if you are the right partner for this Network.
  2. Review the Clean Europe Network Charter, which sets out the vision of this Network since its foundation in 2013 and to which all members are required to commit.
  3. Review the Clean Europe Strategy, the Network's blueprint for establishing effective to integrated litter prevention strategy and which it promotes to all stakeholders in the litter challenge.
  4. Review the ELPA/Clean Europe Network statutes, which provide the legal structure, governance and operating arrangements of our not for profit association under Belgian law.

If your organisation agrees to the content of b., c., and d., above, then please sign a copy of each document and return them with your application to secretariat@cleaneuropenetwork.eu to confirm your commitment to the Network's espoused objectives and strategies.

What Happens Next

Once we receive your application, we will review it internally and then arrange a meeting with you to get better acquainted. A recommendation will be made by the Board as to whether your organisation is an appropriate candidate. However, it is the General Assembly of Full Members of the Network that has the final say on who may join the Network.

The Board's recommendation and information about your organisation will be shared with the Full Members for approval (either in a general meeting or by written procedure, whichever is fastest). You will be informed of the outcome.

An invoice for membership service fees will also be sent to you. This will be pro-rated according to the quarter of the year in which your membership is approved (in other words, if your organisation joins mid-year, it will be asked to pay service fees for the second half of the year). You will also be requested to supply some more information for publication on our website.

Do not hesitate to contact the Clean Europe Network secretariat in Brussels if you have questions.

We look forward to hearing from you!
