Why does Pack2Go Europe’s part time secretary general, Eamonn Bates, also act in the same part-time capacity for the Network?
Because we asked him to do so for three reasons. Firstly, because he has three decades of association management know-how and experience and his company could really help us get going fast. Secondly, because he has three decades of knowledge and understanding of EU policy and could help us understand how this was relevant for litter prevention. Thirdly, because of his total personal commitment and enthusiasm for our common cause.
Meanwhile, his small company has helped us economically when we needed it and months of work have been provided by Mr. Bates and his team on a pro bono basis since 2012 because they have believed in the Network and what it is trying to do. This has been greatly valued by the Board and members.
